Indiana State Police launch “Back The Bark” campaign to fund new K-9 facility

INDIANA – The Indiana State Police (ISP), in partnership with the Indiana State Police Alliance, has proudly announced the launch of “Back The Bark,” a new fundraising campaign dedicated to supporting the construction of a state-of-the-art K-9 kennel and training facility.

The initiative aims to raise vital funds through donations, sponsorships, and community support. Every dollar raised will directly contribute to the construction, equipment, and ongoing maintenance of the new K-9 facility.

The proposed training facility is designed to be a modern, purpose-built complex tailored to the specific needs of ISP K-9 troopers. Key highlights of the planned facility include:

  • Safe and comfortable kennels for working and training K-9s.
  • Dedicated grooming space to ensure K-9 health and hygiene.
  • Indoor and outdoor areas for year-round conditioning and skill development, providing optimal environments for training regardless of weather conditions.

The ISP is calling on the public to help make a difference. There are several ways to contribute to the “Back The Bark” campaign:

  • Donate online or by mail.
  • Sponsor a kennel run.
  • Attend fundraising events and help spread awareness.
  • Follow and share campaign updates on social media.

All contributions to the “Back The Bark” campaign are tax-deductible.
