WASHINGTON – The Daviess-Martin CISMA (Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area) is teaming up with the Downtown Washington Farmers Market to host a special Conservation Resource Fair on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The free, family-friendly event will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The Commons Event Pavilion, located at 310 E South Street, in Washington.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a variety of conservation booths covering topics such as forestry, wildlife, soil health, and invasive species management. The fair promises engaging exhibits, including the chance to view wildlife furs and live fish on display from the Glendale Fish Hatchery. There will also be demonstrations of various conservation tools, as well as opportunities for visitors to create their nature crafts to take home.

Adding to the excitement, visitors can enter to win door prizes, including a highly sought-after STIHL battery-powered pruning saw. While enjoying the fair, attendees can also take advantage of the Downtown Washington Farmers Market’s offerings, with food trucks, market vendors, and local eateries available throughout the morning.
