INDIANAPOLIS — The team behind the popular Christmas Gift + Hobby Show is spreading holiday cheer early this year with a festive Christmas in July campaign — and they’re calling on Hoosiers to help find Indiana’s next show-stopping Christmas tree.
Each year, the towering tree at the heart of the show serves as a magical centerpiece, setting the scene for thousands of photos, memories, and holiday traditions. Now, for the 2025 event, organizers are asking the public to nominate a tree from their property to become the next holiday icon — with a few perks offered in return.
The chosen participant will receive:
- $500 cash
- 20 free tickets to the 2025 Christmas Gift + Hobby Show
- Free parking for the event
- Professional tree removal, including stump grinding
To be eligible, trees must be at least 30 feet tall, in good health, and capable of dazzling crowds once lit and decorated.
The annual show, held in Indianapolis, draws thousands of visitors and celebrates all things holiday — from crafts and décor to gifts and seasonal experiences. The featured tree traditionally stands at the heart of the event, offering a stunning visual backdrop and cherished photo opportunity for attendees.
This Christmas in July effort invites Hoosiers to take part in a unique holiday tradition and play a key role in shaping the spirit of the season for thousands across the state.
Entries must be submitted by August 10 through the official contest site.
