INDIANA – The Indianapolis Colts are making a significant stride in expanding girls flag football across Indiana by partnering with RefReps training for girls flag football officials for both current and aspiring officials.

This initiative marks the Colts as the first NFL team to provide such a comprehensive, no-cost training program specifically for girls flag football officials.
The program is open to all individuals interested in officiating, regardless of their prior experience in officiating. Completion of the RefReps training is mandatory before officiating any games, a measure designed to prioritize player safety and ensure officials have a thorough understanding of the sport’s rules.
This new partnership is a key component of the Colts’ broader Colts’ Road to 100 campaign, an ambitious effort aimed at achieving full sanctioning of girls flag football as a high school sport in Indiana.
In May, the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) officially designated girls flag football as an emerging high school sport.
This crucial step moves the sport closer to full recognition and the eventual establishment of a state tournament. RefReps, known for its standardized video-based officiating education system, utilizes immersive point-of-view scenarios to equip officials, coaches, and educators better. The platform currently serves over 37,000 learners globally.
