Bloomington Farmers’ Market to host International Kiswahili Day and Harvest for the World Celebration

BLOOMINGTON— The Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market is set to host a vibrant dual celebration this Saturday, July 5th, marking both International Kiswahili Day and “Harvest for the World.” The event aims to showcase the rich diversity of the local community and provide an immersive cultural experience for market attendees.

Attendees will have the opportunity to celebrate the rich diversity of our community by enjoying East African music, fashion, dance, and other cultural expressions. In parallel, the “Harvest for the World” theme invites visitors to experience cultures through sight, sound, and taste. This includes a chance to explore African recipes and purchase ingredients locally from market vendors.

The event, which emphasizes community and global connection, will take place at the regular Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market location.
