DAVIESS CO. – Real Recovery’s Anthony Community Funding for the Unhoused has been awarded an $858 grant from Our Community Foundation’s 2025 Fast Grant Program. These crucial funds will provide emergency motel stays and limited transportation for individuals experiencing homelessness in Daviess County.
Founded by Trudy Drew in memory of her brother, the program collaborates with local hotels to provide short-term shelter for individuals in crisis, particularly during off-hours when other support services are unavailable. As Daviess County currently lacks a dedicated homeless shelter, this initiative serves as a vital lifeline, offering up to two nights of emergency housing while more sustainable, long-term solutions are explored for those in need.
