BEDFORD— The heart of Lawrence County will come alive with tradition, community spirit, and celebration during the 2025 Limestone Heritage Festival, scheduled for Friday, June 27, and Saturday, June 28, in downtown Bedford.

The festival, a staple of Bedford’s summer calendar, honors the region’s deep ties to limestone and the artisanship it has inspired for generations. Hosted by Bedford Revitalization, Inc. (BRI), the event showcases live music, food, art, and heritage activities spread across multiple venues in the city.
Friday, June 27
Festivities begin at 8 a.m. Friday, with the opening of the Land of Limestone Exhibit at StoneGate Arts & Education Center, and continue throughout the day with architectural walking tours at the Lawrence County History Museum, food trucks on J Street, and a photography contest hosted by the museum.
The evening ramps up at Harp Commons with a beer garden from 5 to 11 p.m. and live music by Dark Hollow at 6 p.m., followed by local favorites Cody Ikerd & the Sidewinders taking the stage at 8:30 p.m. The Limestone Carving Exhibit will also be open from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Downtown Depot.
Saturday, June 28
Saturday’s schedule begins early with handmade craft vendors on the Courthouse west side and a pancake breakfast at the Masonic Lodge. From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., visitors can once again explore the Land of Limestone Exhibit, while other heritage displays, such as a photography exhibit and chalk walk, offer family-friendly engagement.
Highlights of the day include a hot dog eating contest at 4 p.m. and a flag raising ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at 16th & I Street. The Limestone Heritage Parade steps off at 6 p.m. through downtown, followed by live music from The Indigos at 8:30 p.m. on the Harp Commons stage.
The festival culminates in a grand fireworks display at 10 p.m. over downtown Bedford.

Food trucks and the beer garden will be available throughout both days, and festivalgoers are encouraged to explore downtown shops and eateries.
