Social Security enhances online access and contact options

The Social Security Administration is rolling out enhancements to its “my Social Security” portal and public contact systems to make accessing services more streamlined and secure.

Among the new features:

  • Easier sign-in with login.gov integration
  • Enhanced identity verification to prevent fraud
  • Improved online access to benefit estimates, payment history, and replacement documents
  • Shorter wait times for certain services with new call-back and online scheduling options

SSA encourages all working Americans — even those not near retirement — to create a free “my Social Security” account to monitor their earnings record and future benefits.
