HUNTINGBURG – The Huntingburg Police Department is deeply saddened to announce the passing of retired K-9 Ester at the age of 11.
Ester served with distinction for nearly seven years, beginning her career with the department in 2015. She demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication in both patrol duties and detection work throughout her service.
After her retirement in 2022, Ester found a loving home with her handler, Officer Cody Byrd, and his family, where she enjoyed her well-deserved retirement.
