DAVIESS CO. – The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Wednesday, June 4, near the intersection of County Roads 650 East and 500 North in Montgomery.
At approximately 6:25 p.m., Daviess County Central Dispatch received a report that a tractor had rolled over into a creek, and the operator was pinned underneath the tractor in the water.
The investigation indicates that the tractor was traveling east on a path alongside a ditch when, for an unknown reason, it entered the ditch. It overturned, trapping the driver beneath it.
The driver has been identified as Aden Graber, 25, of Montgomery. His family has been notified.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is the lead investigating agency. Assisting at the scene were the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department, the Cannelburg Volunteer Fire Department, the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department, the Indiana State Police, the Daviess County Ambulance Service, the Daviess County Coroner’s Office, and Briggeman’s Wrecker Service.
