ORLEANS – The Orleans Chamber of Commerce is calling on all residents and business owners to help transform the town into a patriotic spectacle of red, white, and blue in anticipation of the upcoming Orange County America 250 Kick-Off.
The celebratory event is scheduled for Saturday, June 14th, and will take place in historic Congress Square from 9 a.m. until Noon.

June 14th holds special significance, as it marks not only Flag Day but also the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army. To honor these momentous occasions, the Chamber is encouraging everyone to embrace the spirit of the festivities by adorning their storefronts, front porches, and other visible areas with red, white, and blue decor, such as bunting and flags.
The Orange County America 250 Kick-Off promises a morning filled with patriotic fervor and community spirit. Attendees can look forward to a Colonial Fair, a flag-raising ceremony, and the presence of costumed re-enactors, including Martha Washington and President Abraham Lincoln. Information booths and heritage activities will also be available, along with special guests and additional features.
The event is sponsored by Orange County and the Orange County America 250 Committee. This celebration serves as a prelude to the nation’s 250th anniversary, encouraging local participation and a sense of shared history.
