Medora to host Native American Artifact Show this Saturday

MEDORA – The town of Medora will be the site of the Medora Indiana Native American Artifact Show this Saturday, May 31, 2025.

The event, sponsored by the Indiana Archaeological Society, will be held at the Carr Township Conservation Club, located at 7709 West County Road 350 South, in Medora.

The doors for the show will open at 7:00 a.m., and the show will officially start at 8:00 a.m. and run until 3:00 p.m. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.

Attendees can expect to see a variety of artifacts and compete for several awards. Plaques will be awarded for “Best of Show,” “Best Personal Found Artifact” (voted on by the public), “Best Cache,” “Most Informative Display,” and “One Host/Excellence Awards.” Plaquetes will recognize the following categories: “Best Educational,” “Best Slate,” “Best Axe and/or Celt,” “Best Bannerstones,” “Best Flint,” “Best Bone and Shell,” and “Best Personal Found Collection and the Best Frame of Artifacts.” “Rosettes” will be given to “Junior Showmen” and for “First Time to Show.”
