LAWRENCE CO.– A Bloomington man was arrested Tuesday evening after an Indiana State Police trooper observed him committing multiple traffic violations and suspected him of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Jeremy R. Pennington, 47, was pulled over on Leesville Road at Old US 50.

According to an affidavit for probable cause filed by Trooper C. Brown of the Indiana State Police, Pennington was observed driving a blue 2019 Toyota RAV4. The traffic stop was initiated after Pennington allegedly disregarded a stop sign, exceeded the speed limit, and failed to signal a turn.
Upon interaction with Pennington, Trooper Brown noted an odor of an alcoholic beverage and observed alcoholic beverage containers in plain view. A portable breath test administered at the scene indicated an alcohol concentration of 0.119 grams of alcohol per 210 liters of breath.
Pennington submitted to a chemical test, with the results currently pending.
Those facing criminal charges are considered innocent unless convicted through due legal proceedings. Accusations alone do not imply guilt; the judicial system will evaluate the presented evidence to reach a verdict.
