BEDFORD– The 24th annual Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services (LCCPS) Auto, Trike, Truck, Bike Show is scheduled for Saturday, September 6, at Hobson Ford Jeep & Ram!
The event is a fundraiser for Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services, an organization that supports Lawrence County cancer patients. According to the LCCPS 2024 annual report, the organization’s total income was $198,213, with $46,879 spent on transportation assistance and $41,076 on patient assistance.
Funds raised will help provide gas cards for transportation to and from chemotherapy and radiation treatments, wigs for patients who have lost their hair due to treatments, and food supplements such as Ensure or Boost. LCCPS also provides supplements, medical supplies, housekeeping assistance, and other assistance on a case-by-case basis.
Bridgett Kern of LCCPS is seeking sponsorships for the event. Sponsors will be promoted on Facebook and the LCCPS website, displayed on signage at the car show, and announced throughout the day.
LCCPS is staffed entirely by volunteers. Officers include Rhonda Greene, President; Jamie Wigley, Vice President; Vonda Owens, Secretary; and Joelle Rose, Treasurer. Patient Care Coordinators are Teena Ligman, Debbie Bauer, Laura Ohl, and Tina Lee.
