BEDFORD – Road construction in Lawrence County has hit a temporary snag due to inclement weather conditions. According to Lawrence County Highway Superintendent Brian Sowder, paving operations are currently on hold.
In an update provided to WBIW, Sowder clarified that Boyd Lane is not on today’s paving schedule. The decision to pause all paving work is due to unfavorable weather, which makes applying asphalt unsuitable.
Residents are advised that any previously announced paving schedules are subject to change depending on the duration of the weather disruption.
Superintendent Sowder assures the public that he will provide further updates regarding the resumption of paving activities as soon as the weather improves and that a revised schedule can be determined.
Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution in construction zones and stay informed about potential road closures or delays.
