Volunteers needed for tree planting at Winslow Sports Complex

BLOOMINGTON – Calling all community members with a green thumb! The City of Bedford’s Urban Forestry staff is seeking volunteers to help plant trees at the Winslow Sports Complex on Saturday, May 3rd.

This is a fantastic opportunity to directly contribute to the beautification and environmental health of our local community. Participants will work alongside Urban Forestry staff to plant new trees at the popular sports complex.

Volunteers are needed from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 3rd. All necessary gloves and shovels will be provided on-site. However, volunteers are asked to wear long pants, sturdy shoes or boots, and clothing they don’t mind getting dirty.

No prior experience is necessary, as the Urban Forestry team will provide on-site training. This event is open to individuals aged 12 and up. Volunteers under 18 must have an Underage Waiver of Liability signed by a parent or guardian. The waiver can be filled out online by clicking here.
