Closure planned on State Road 58 in Bartholomew County

BARTHOLOMEW CO. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Duncan Robertson, Inc., is scheduled to close State Road 58 over East Fork White Creek on or after Monday, May 5, to complete a bridge replacement project in Bartholomew County.

The closure will take place between County Road 525 South and County Road West 450 South in Ogilville. S.R. 58 is expected to reopen in early September, weather permitting. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route, which follows I-65 to State Road 11, then to State Road 258, and finally to State Road 58.

This work is part of a $1.6 million contract awarded to Duncan Robertson in October 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
