WASHINGTON CO. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc. is scheduled to close State Road 160 approximately 6.6 miles east of Salem on or after Monday, April 21, to complete a box culvert replacement project in Washington County.
The closure will occur on State Road 160 between South Boston Pekin Road and South Franklin School Road in South Boston and is expected to reopen in early June, weather permitting. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour, which follows State Road 60/Salem Bypass to State Road 56 to I-65.
This work is part of a contract awarded to E&B in September 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, be cautious, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
