Hunter’s Greenhouse blooms for eighth season in Bedford

BEDFORD – Spring has sprung, and so has the eighth season for Hunter’s Greenhouse, a family-owned and operated business at 10553 US Highway 50 West in Bedford. Don and Marilyn Hunter opened their doors on March 29th, welcoming the community back to their 34-by-100-foot greenhouse filled with a vibrant array of plants and flowers.

Customers can find a wide selection of greenery to spruce up their gardens and homes, including vegetable plants and twenty-three varieties of tomato plants. The greenhouse also boasts a colorful assortment of annual and perennial flowers and ready-made hanging baskets.

“And we’ve got the prettiest strawberry plants you ever saw,” Don Hunter said with a smile.

The Hunters are dedicated to providing quality plants and a welcoming atmosphere. When asked what single message he wanted to convey to the community, Don’s enthusiasm was clear: “They won’t believe what they see.”

Hunter’s Greenhouse is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The business is closed on Sundays, allowing Don and Marilyn to spend time with their family and attend church.
