BEDFORD– Damien Dean Robbins, 32, of Bedford, is facing multiple felony drug charges after an investigation by the Indiana State Police (ISP) Drug Enforcement Section. He was arrested on a warrant on Saturday, March 29, detailing allegations of dealing and conspiring to deal narcotic drugs, including heroin and fentanyl.

According to Detective Michael Z. Robbins, an undercover detective with the ISP, he conducted an investigation into Robbins’ alleged drug dealing activities in Lawrence County beginning in November 2024. The investigation, which relied on information from a confidential informant, resulted in multiple controlled buys of heroin from Robbins.
The warrant details five separate controlled buys. Notably, one of the buys occurred inside Robbins’ residence in the 4000 block of Dixie Highway, where video surveillance allegedly captured Robbins mixing substances later confirmed to contain fentanyl and heroin. During this buy, Robbins’s four-year-old son reportedly told the informant to “be careful.”
In two other instances, the informant reported that Robbins utilized other individuals to physically hand over the drugs, a practice allegedly employed by Robbins to distance himself from direct accountability. Lab results confirmed the substances sold in these controlled buys contained fentanyl and heroin.
The final controlled buy occurred at Robbins’ residence in December 2024.
The warrant request states that Robbins delivered or facilitated the delivery of over three grams of a fentanyl-containing substance within 90 days. The presence of his minor son during at least one of these transactions is considered an aggravating circumstance.
Robbins faces the following charges:
- Dealing a narcotic drug, a Level 2 felony
- Conspiracy to deal a narcotic Drug, a Level 2 felony
- Two counts of dealing a narcotic drug, Level 3 felonies
