BLOOMINGTON—The City of Bloomington Volunteer Network asks the community to nominate outstanding individuals and organizations for the 2025 Be More Awards. These prestigious awards recognize those who dedicate their time and efforts to making a significant positive impact in Bloomington and Monroe County.

The Be More Awards will honor volunteers and groups across eight distinct categories, celebrating social impact, arts, youth engagement, leadership, and lifetime service contributions. Thanks to the generosity of the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County, each award recipient will receive a $1,000 grant for their designated nonprofit organization.
Nominations are now open to the public and will be accepted until March 31, 2025. The honorees will be celebrated at a special awards ceremony on April 29th at the historic Buskirk-Chumley Theater.
The City of Bloomington Volunteer Network encourages everyone to participate in this opportunity to recognize the unsung heroes who enrich the community. By submitting a nomination, residents can help shine a spotlight on those who go above and beyond to make Bloomington and Monroe County a better place for all.
United Way has long supported the Be More Awards, which highlight the collaborative effort to honor and celebrate volunteerism within the community.
