Indiana Arts Commission announces open applications for arts grants

INDIANA – The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) invites nonprofit organizations and public entities to apply for its Arts Organization Support and Arts Project Support grant programs.

The application period is open and will close on March 4, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Arts Project Support Program

The Arts Project Support grants fund nonprofit organizations and public entities to support a specific arts activity. This can include one-time events, single productions, exhibitions, educational workshops, or related arts activities such as art classes or training sessions.

The primary goal of this program is to ensure that Indiana communities have access to enriching arts experiences. For Fiscal Year 2026, the program will be available twice:

  • Spring application cycle: Open now, covering projects between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026, with applications due by March 4, 2025.
  • Fall application cycle: This cycle opens on July 9, 2025, for projects occurring between January 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026. Applications are due by September 9, 2025.

Each applicant can receive only one Arts Project Support grant in FY2026. Learn more about Arts Project Support and access the guidelines.

Arts Organization Support Program

The Arts Organization Support grants offer stable and consistent funding to arts organizations, regardless of location or budget size. This competitive program is available every odd calendar year, with funded applicants receiving grants for two fiscal years (FY2026 and FY2027).

The program aims to support a broad range of arts organizations across Indiana, ensuring high-quality artistic experiences are accessible to both residents and visitors. Funding is distributed equitably to maximize impact across the state.

Applications for Arts Organization Support are due through the IAC’s online grant system by March 4, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET.  Learn more and access the guidelines.
