Bedford Parks Department announces 2025 Outdoor Series

BEDFORD — The Bedford Parks Department has unveiled its 2025 Parks Outdoor Series, a lineup of events spanning from February to June designed to engage the community with fitness, recreation, nature, and local attractions.

The series kicks off February 25 with “Too Fit To Quit,” featuring Susan Sokeland from Fit Chix, who will lead a program promoting healthy lifestyles for all ages.

On March 25, the department will host a “Pickleball” session, introducing participants to the increasingly popular sport and its rules.

“Stars & Storytelling” on April 22 will offer an opportunity to explore astronomy and learn about the night sky.

In May, on the 27th, “Good Fire” will feature Kat Shay from Purdue University’s Hardwood Ecosystem Experiment, discussing the beneficial uses of fire in nature.

The series concludes June 24 with “Interesting Places – Martin & Greene County,” highlighting must-see destinations in the neighboring counties for those planning trips.

All events are free and open to the public. The Bedford Parks Department encourages attendees to RSVP.
