HOPE — The Town of Hope is preparing for its 12th annual Groundhog Day celebration, set to take place on Sunday, February 2nd, at the Town Square. The event will once again feature the town’s furry weather prognosticator, Hope the Groundhog, who will offer her weather prediction for the coming weeks.

This marks the fifth year that Hope the Groundhog, a Utopia Wildlife Rehabilitators resident, will participate in the festivities. Music will begin at 8 a.m., and the crowd will gather to await Hope’s prediction, which will be revealed at 8:30 a.m. Following the prediction, attendees can enjoy warm drinks and snacks at the Yellow Trail Museum, located on the northwest side of the Town Square.
The Hope Groundhog Day celebration is organized by Main Street of Hope and Utopia Wildlife Rehabilitators, with support from Indiana Main Street and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to join the fun and witness Hope the Groundhog’s much-anticipated forecast for the season.
