INDIANA – Since 1982, the Indiana Nongame Wildlife Fund has been at the forefront of protecting the state’s most vulnerable animal species. By supporting conservation initiatives, the fund plays a crucial role in preserving the diverse and healthy wildlife populations that enhance our quality of life, improve ecosystem health, and provide opportunities to observe unique and beautiful creatures in their natural habitats.
In 2024, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) biologists across various fields, including ornithology, herpetology, mammalogy, and aquatics, have worked tirelessly to achieve significant conservation wins for rare and endangered species in Indiana. A special end-of-year video highlights some of the important projects made possible by the generosity of donors to the Nongame Wildlife Fund.
The Indiana DNR calls on the public for continued support as plans for rare species conservation in 2025 are being developed. Donations to the Nongame Wildlife Fund directly fund conservation efforts for endangered and rare species across the state, and with federal match funding, your contribution goes even further. For every $50 donated, Indiana receives an additional $93 in federal match funding, resulting in a total impact of $143 on conservation efforts for just a $50 contribution.
The Indiana Nongame Wildlife Fund is a vital resource for protecting the state’s wildlife, and your donation helps ensure a future where endangered species thrive. To contribute and learn more about how your support makes a difference, please consider donating today. Click here to donate.
