Indiana Men’s Basketball Assistant Director Adam Howard dismissed from position

BLOOMINGTON – Indiana University men’s basketball assistant director of recruiting and operations Adam Howard was dismissed on Friday, as reported by Zach Osterman of the Indianapolis Star on X. An Indiana basketball spokesperson confirmed the news but declined further comment regarding Howard’s sudden departure.

Howard, a longtime fixture within the IU basketball program, joined as a four-year student manager before advancing to a graduate manager role over the past two seasons. His dedication and experience led to his recent promotion in July, a role he held until his dismissal on Friday. On Wednesday night, Howard was on the sidelines during IU’s victory over Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Howard has deep ties to Indiana basketball. An Indianapolis native, he played at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School, where his father, Todd Howard, coached him.
