BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Parks will conduct a prescribed burn at Griffy Lake near the parking lot east of Headley Road on Wednesday, Nov. 9.
The Hiking Trail and Nature Trail will be closed during, and for at least one day after, the burn although the remainder of the nature preserve will remain open.
The entire Griffy Lake Nature Preserve is closed from 11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 through 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14 for a deer hunt. Only those hunters who have applied and been selected to participate may hunt at Griffy Lake; the property remains closed to public hunting.
