IHCDA’s My Community, My Vision program encourages young people to have a hand in creating vibrant, active and engaging public spaces.

By bringing something as simple as new benches and colorful planters to downtown Liberty, students from Union County High School beautified and re-energized activity around the downtown commercial district. After the completion of an MCMV project in 2019, Liberty has seen a new mural and other welcoming downtown features that encourage community members and visitors alike to stop in, shop, or take a seat and enjoy a sunny fall day.

The application is now open for interested IPA or AIM youth councils to apply for the My Community, My Vision Program. The deadline to apply is November 7th, 2022. Selected cohorts will participate in the program throughout the spring 2023 semester.
