Remember state forests and the Hoosier National Forest have open hunting access, and some Fish & Wildlife areas offer open-access hunting or standby draws for unfilled reserved hunt spots.

View turkey hunting resources, including processing videos, safety tips, and research reports, on the DNR website.

Turkey hunters can access real-time harvest data on the DNR spring turkey harvest data website.

The site is updated daily with information from CheckIN Game.

So far 610 turkeys have been harvested in Indiana as of May 5. Nine have been harvested in Lawrence and Martin counties, three in Orange County, six in Daviess County, 10 in Monroe County, 11 in Greene County, and 16 in Jackson County.

Hunters can see information based on county, hunting equipment used, and bird gender (bearded male or bearded female).
