Jami Marea Ryan, 69, of Bedford, passed away peacefully at 6:25 pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Born September 24, 1957, in Bedford, she was the daughter of John M. and Sybil (Carmichael) Owens.
She married Danny T. Ryan on June 30, 1992, and he preceded her in death on July 17, 2012. Jami was a Registered Nurse and retired from Bedford Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Bedford Boat and Sportsman’s Club, ASPCA, Women’s Auxiliary, and the White River Humane Society.
Survivors include a son, Christopher Ryan, and wife Isha; a daughter, Corrie Pope, and husband Barry; four grandchildren: Erelah Ryan, Orlaith Ryan, Olivia (Matthew) Driesler, and Landon Pope; one great-granddaughter, Sophia Driesler; brothers-in-law: Tim Ryan and Larry Ryan; her best friends: Lisa French and Tina McKee; a cousin, Goldie Mouras; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Nicole Ryan, a son, Clinton Ryan, and her brother, John M. Owens.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00pm on Friday, November 6 th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
