NATIONWIDE – More than 4 million tubes of toothpaste distributed across the United States are being recalled.
According to the FDA, the initial recall began on September 10th due to deviations from Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP)—federal regulations designed to guarantee the identity, strength, quality, and purity of drug products. The FDA recently designated the action as a Class II recall, indicating that exposure to the affected products may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.
The recall involves 17 distinct toothpaste varieties, including popular children’s characters and flavored formulas. The items were manufactured in India by Pritam International Private Limited and distributed throughout the U.S. by Ashtel Studios Inc.
