VIGO COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure that will impact State Road 246 in southern Vigo County.
Beginning on or after Monday, October 26, INDOT maintenance crews will close S.R. 246 between S.R. 63 and U.S. 41 to replace a culvert in the area. Access to all local homes will be maintained throughout the course of construction. Work is anticipated to last for up to two weeks but is weather-dependent and subject to change.
The official detour around the closure follows U.S. 41 to S.R. 48 to S.R. 63. Drivers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and to use caution in and around work zones.
