KNOX COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the beginning of paving operations on US 41 in southern Knox County.
Beginning on or around Friday, September 25, crews will begin paving operations on US 41 south of Vincennes. Paving operations will occur near the intersection of East Essex Road to just south of the intersection of State Road 241.
One lane will be closed at a time to allow for paving to occur in both directions of travel. Work will begin in lanes that have already been closed for patching operations. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
Work is expected to last through the end of October, depending on the weather. Paving on US 41 is part of a larger project to improve US 41 in southern Knox County.
