BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence kept its shutout streak intact. Just not its winning streak.
The Stars recorded their fifth consecutive shutout while battling Seymour to a 0-0 stalemate during girls high school soccer action on Thursday night. BNL is now 4-4-1 overall (2-2-1 in third place in the Hoosier Hills Conference), while the Owls are 3-6-2 (1-2-1 in the league).
“We’ll take it,” BNL coach Jordan Himmelspach said. “It was a hard-fought game. Seymour is very well coached, and they spread us out at times. It was a well-played game.”
The Owls owned a 10-8 advantage in shots, putting BNL freshman goalie Aubrey Lynn to the test.
“She did a good job of stopping them,” Himmelspach said. “She came out and made some beautiful saves.”
BNL will host Jeffersonville to finish league play on Saturday morning.
