Linda D. Sturgeon, 81, of Williams, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Majestic Care of Bedford.
Linda was born in Lawrence County on October 14, 1944, to the late Reno Blake and Eva (Clark) Blake. She married Hulan Sturgeon in 1999, and he survives.
Linda was of the Baptist faith and was a hardworking woman who found joy in caring for her animals and spending time with those she loved. She had a special love for her family, who meant more to her than anything and remained at the heart of her life.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Hulan Sturgeon; sons, John Smith Jr. and James Smith; seven grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reno and Eva Blake; brother, Ronnie Blake; and three sisters, Joan Blake, Ina Feathers, and Juanita Morris.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne Family Funeral Homes, 818 18th Street, Bedford, with Pastor Philip Thorne officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
