ANDERSON — Indiana Governor Mike Braun today assessed storm recovery efforts in Anderson and met with families directly affected by the disaster and local elected officials and community leaders to discuss ongoing recovery efforts.
“Hoosiers have shown tremendous strength in the face of this storm, and the state will continue working alongside local leaders and families as communities recover,” Governor Braun said. “I’m grateful to the first responders, local officials, and residents who have worked tirelessly to help their neighbors. We will continue to listen, assess the needs on the ground, and make sure communities have the support they need to recover and rebuild.”
During the visit, Governor Braun traveled along Milton Avenue to Alexandria Pike to view flooded homes and ongoing cleanup efforts.
Governor Braun then met with Anderson Mayor Thomas Broderick and Madison County leaders to discuss both immediate and long-term recovery needs, including state and FEMA assistance and continued support for Hoosiers.
Governor Braun’s visit is part of his ongoing efforts to provide Hoosiers and communities with resources for recovery.
