Sandra Lue Hunter, 80, passed away peacefully, surrounded with the love of her family on September 11, 2026, at her home in Bedford, Indiana.
She was born on March 30, 1946, to Robert and Clara “Net” Woodward. Sandra graduated from Shawswick High School in 1964 and went to work for Citizens Bank. She then went on to work for the district forester. Sandra was also a homemaker who loved quilting and gardening. She was a member of the American Quilter Society. She loved being a mother and wife. She spent a lot of time with her family and enjoyed traveling with them. She met her husband in first grade, and they married on July 24, 1966.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Dewayne Hunter; son, Evan Hunter, and his fiancé Amy and their children.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Clara Woodward.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18th, at Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at Day & Carter Mortuary.
