BEDFORD — The Lawrence County Commissioners approved a pair of contracts during their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday morning.
The first agreement was awarded to Elevator One, a regional specialty contractor that will oversee the installation, repair, routine testing, and ongoing maintenance of elevator systems across county facilities. The service contract covers elevators located at both the Lawrence County Courthouse and the adjacent Courthouse Plaza.
In a separate action, the board approved a $534.77 equipment bid submitted by VetraSpec, a specialized claims-management platform used by the Lawrence County Veterans Affairs Office to assist local military veterans with benefit tracking and filing.
The funding will go toward necessary software or hardware support for the Lawrence County Veterans Affairs Office, which assists local military veterans with benefits, records, and support services.
