Linda Sue Gregory, known as “Mimi”, 81, of Greenwood, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis.
Born November 24, 1944, in Greene County, she was the daughter of Walter Lee and Mary Elizabeth (Jackson) Ashcraft. Linda married Eugene Gregory on June 21, 1962, and he preceded her in death in 1999. She was a former member of Englewood Baptist Church. Linda loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherri (Roger) Crouch-Wilson; granddaughter, Shelbi (James) Williams; great-grandchildren, Hadleigh Mae Williams, and Gregory Jett Williams; a sister, Judith Rayle; brothers, Roger (Carol) Ashcraft, and Larry (Carolyn) Ashcraft. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a brother, Ronnie Ashcraft.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will take place from 10:00 am until the time of service on Monday, at Day & Carter Mortuary. Memorial Contributions can be made to Ovarian Cancer Awareness or Franciscan Hospice.
