LAWRENCE COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for State Road 58 in Lawrence County.
Beginning on or around Monday, August 31, crews will close S.R. 58 near Bedford. This closure will occur between Rocky Creek West and Shawswick Station Road over Leatherwood Creek.
This road closure will allow for a bridge deck overlay project. Work is expected to last through mid-November, depending on the weather.
The official detour for this project is State Road 446 to U.S. 50 to State Road 37. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
