
SEYMOUR – Trinity Lutheran spoiled Bedford North Lawrence’s season debut with a four-set victory during high school volleyball action on Thursday night.
The Cougars clawed to a 25-10, 25-15, 22-25, 25-13 win.
Izzy Root recorded eight kills and two blocks, Emry Crane totaled three kills and three blocks, and Lily Mishler had nine kills plus eight digs for the Stars.
Adalynn Bailey paced the offense with 15 assists and 10 digs, Jenna Allen totaled 10 digs and three aces, Ellie Nubbie had 13 digs, and Lily Wagoner added seven digs.
”The girls played with grit,” BNL coach Aaron Wagoner said. “They had the best rallies I’ve seen yet during my tenure. They’ve been working hard, and it’s starting to show.”
BNL (0-1) will host Edgewood on Monday.
