Kraig Matthew Smoot, 34, of Bedford, passed in his home on August 17, 2026.
He was born on January 20, 1992, to loving parents Keith and Kathy Smoot.
He is survived by his parents, brother, Kirk (Kayla), and niece, Keaton; grandparents, Betty Jo Bundy, Kenny and Mae Smoot; uncles and aunts, Brad Bundy, Tom (Sharon) Smoot, and Greg (Janelle) Smoot.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Bundy, and sister, Kara Smoot.
From a young age, Kraig was extremely talented in sports. He excelled at both football and basketball. He graduated from Bedford North Lawrence High School in 2011. He attended the College of Mount St. Joseph and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance.
Kraig will always be remembered for his infectious laugh that could be heard in any room and his charismatic personality. His constant companions were his beloved corgi, BamBam, and labrador, Blue.
He loved sports, video games, music, shoes, his family, and friends. He will always be remembered as being full of life and will be in our hearts forever.
The immediate family will hold a private ceremony and burial.
