SEYMOUR – Bedford North Lawrence bounced back with wins over Seymour and Jennings County during girls high school golf action at Shadowood on Tuesday.
The Stars, who slipped from the Top 20 in the latest state poll this week, carded 178 to conquer the Owls (187) and Panthers (217).
Sammie Nusbaum, who was battling her swing and confidence during Monday’s home match, returned to form with a 42 to pace the Stars. Emma Voris (44), Kadynn Canada (45) and Bella Warren (47) completed the BNL scoring.
“I’m very proud of Sammie,” BNL coach Carly Stigall said. “She stayed late after the match yesterday, working on her driver, and that work paid off. She was back to smashing tee shots and is quickly getting her confidence back. She had one bad hole (her final hole) where she cranked two balls OB and ended up with an 8. However, both tee shots were solid so we’ll take it after how this past week has been.
”As a team, we had a lot of good moments and definitely showed some improvement from yesterday. We still have some fine-tuning to do on short game, but I’m confident we will get there.”

Seymour’s Shana Spray was the medalist with 38.
BNL will host its annual Invitational at Otis Park on Saturday.
