Sharon L. Quackenbush, 94, of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford.
She was born August 24, 1931, in Bedford, to Van and Carmita (Hill) Bridwell. She married Jack Quackenbush on May 10, 1947, and he preceded her in death on July 25, 1996.
Sharon was a homemaker and a cook at Bedford-North Lawrence High School. She loved spending time with her family, playing cards, and crocheting. Sharon was a fantastic cook and a member of Hillcrest Christian Church.
Surviving to cherish Sharon’s memory are her children, Randy (Linda) Quackenbush, Beth (Steve) Blackwell, and Lori (Jim) Kolzcak; grandchildren, Shellie (Gary) Ooley, Kristy Hawkins, Jason (Anna) Blackwell, Jeremy Blackwell, Janae (Travis) Snow, Jared Blackwell, Sam Kolzcak, and Sarah Kolzcak; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Preceding Sharon in death were her parents, Van and Carmita Bridwell; husband, Jack; daughter, Terri Robbins; grandson, Jack Quackenbush; granddaughter, Jadie Blackwell; great-grandson, Dylan Duncan; sisters, Libby Hicks and Nancy Bundy; and brother, Bob Bridwell.
Funeral services for Sharon will be held Monday, August 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Christian Church of Bedford with Pastor Mark Fugate and Pastor Charlie Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, August 17th, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, also at Hillcrest Christian Church.
Memorial donations may be made in Sharon’s memory to the Hillcrest Christian Church of Bedford.
