BEDFORD — Hoosier Uplands Economic Development Corporation has announced the upcoming grand opening of Limestone Edge, a new affordable housing community tailored specifically for older adults in Lawrence County.
Located at 3301 South Shawnee Drive in Bedford, the community aims to offer safe, quality housing alongside integrated supportive services for local seniors.
Members of the public are invited to celebrate the grand opening on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The event will feature:
- A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony
- Remarks from community leaders and project partners
- Guided tours of the newly completed development
- Light refreshments
The development of Limestone Edge was made possible through key funding partners, including the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority, Old National Bank Equity Partners, and Old National Bank. Construction efforts were led by project partner CPM.
Additionally, Hoosier Uplands extended recognition to several key organizations and local leaders for their continued partnership, including the Hoosier Uplands Board of Directors, Corporation for Supportive Housing, Milestone Ventures, John Hawkins, the Bedford Housing Authority, and the City of Bedford under the leadership of Mayor Sam Craig.
