MONROE COUNTY – A lengthy investigation conducted by Trooper Caleb Sipes led to the Monday arrest of a Monroe County woman on a felony theft charge.
In June 2026, Trooper Sipes initiated an investigation into the sale of a mini-barn listed on Facebook Marketplace for $3,500. During his investigation, Trooper Sipes identified the suspect as Pamela Jimenez (Deckard), Age 40, of Monroe County. The victim reported making full purchase payments to Jimenez (Deckard). It was after Jimenez (Deckard) received payments that communications with her stopped. Trooper Sipes conducted an extensive investigation, which included an interview with the victim and interviews with other involved parties. Trooper Sipes also identified the name and location of the company that originally sold the mini-barn to Jimenez (Deckard) and ultimately repossessed it.
It was during the investigation that Trooper Sipes learned the mini-barn had been repossessed before its sale to the victim. He also learned that the suspect received multiple notices over several months advising that the mini-barn was subject to repossession. Trooper Sipes applied for and was granted an arrest warrant based upon probable cause for Jiminez (Deckard). She was located and arrested without incident. She was transported to the Monroe County Jail, where her custody was transferred for the following preliminary charge:
- Theft, a Level 6 Felony
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
