Sherry Lynn Turner, 74, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Belle’s Place of Bedford.
Sherry Lynn Turner, caring wife to Steve, loving mama to John (Lynessa) Cummings, dedicated daughter to Wes and Melvina Ryan, doting Mamaw to Faith, Will, and Magnolia Cummings, devoted sister and sister-in-law to Ronnie (Sue) Ryan, Rickie (Marsha) Ryan, and Karen and Mike Atchison, sweet aunt and cousin to Ricky Dale and Amy, Steven, Wesley and Kristen Ryan, Eve and Hannah Campbell, Chris, Heidi, and Rhett Atchison, Cory, Kim, and Lexie Atchison, Kim and Eddie Robinson, Rita and Herb Waggoner, Cindy and Kent Turner, and a faithful friend to too many to mention, joined her beautiful Savior Jesus on July 7, 2026, and her cherished loved ones who passed before her.
She was so eager to be reunited with Steve, Wes, and Melvina, Rickie and Marsha, Sue, and her baby girl, Jayma.
She had no fear of death because of her faith in God’s grace through Jesus’ Sacrifice for her sins. She is now enjoying her reward for keeping the faith and “running the race marked out for her”, as Paul describes in his letters to the church. Death is a thing of the past for her, and she will never experience it again as she lives forever with Jesus. She will no longer have sorrow, crying, or pain. Her body and her mind are now new and perfect – free of illness. The old have passed away, and God has made everything new! She will be greatly missed by so many.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10th, in Leatherwood Cemetery with Seth Wisley officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9th, at Day & Carter Mortuary. After the graveside service, friends and family are encouraged to stay for lunch and to share memories and stories.
