BRISTOL – Throughout the history of the Indiana State Police Toll Road Post, it has not had a dedicated Public Information Officer. Instead, it has relied on several neighboring Public Information Officers to share information during critical times.Â

Throughout the years, it has become more evident that dedicated Public Information Officers are a necessity for each State Police Post. The decision was made to add this position to the Toll Road Post to consolidate information sharing, for efficiency, transparency, and community engagement.
This added position will assist in sharing timely information with the Ft. Wayne, South Bend, and Chicago media markets as well as the public that uses the Toll Road. Social media will be utilized for outreach to the media, the travelers of the Toll Road, and the communities the Toll Road passes through.
Indiana State Police Superintendent Anthony Scott recently announced the reassignment of Sgt. Ted Bohner to serve as the Public Information Officer for the Indiana State Police Toll Road Post. Sgt. Bohner has served as the Public Information Officer for the Indiana State Police Bremen Post for the past nine years.
The newly created social media for the Indiana State Police Toll Road Post can be found on Facebook at Indiana State Police – Toll Road and on Instagram at isp.tollroad.
