Brenda S. Rhorer, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Franciscan Health Indianapolis.
Born November 21, 1949, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Orville “Fish” Oliver and Goldie (Swartz) Blackwell. Brenda married Fred Rhorer on November 13, 1970. She was a dedicated sales associate for 26 years with Armed Forces Exchange Services.
She is survived by her husband, Fred; two children, Keith Rhorer and Malynda Rhorer of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Matthew, Cody, Hayley, Emryk, and Maci Rhorer; twelve great-grandchildren; four brothers, Kevin Blackwell, Dallas, Gary, and Jim Oliver; two sisters, Bonnie Watson and Rita VanDeventer. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Carol Holtsclaw and Wilma Wikle, and brothers Steve, John, Melvin, Norman, and Clovis Oliver.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 25 th, in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery.
