Hans A. Braun Sr., 77, of Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at his residence.
Born December 30, 1948, in Germany, he was the son of Georg and Margarette (Lenhardt) Braun. Hans married Maria Duzi in Germany on March 10, 1972, and she preceded him in death.
Hans was a U.S. Army Sergeant and served two tours in Vietnam. He worked at Visteon and retired in 2008. He loved animals, fishing, and spending time with his buddies in his garage. Hans always took great care of his family and was a friend to everyone.
He is survived by one son, Hans Braun, Jr., and wife Terri Jo of Bedford; one daughter, Angela P. Braun of Bedford; two grandsons, Josef Braun and fiancé Ashley of Bedford, and Steve Summers of Lafayette; one granddaughter, Nikki Gilleran of Georgia; five great-grandchildren, Chance Braun, T.J. Braun, Elizabeth Gilleran, Ottalie Summers, Maevyn Summers stepsister, Tammy (Curtis) Chandler of Judah.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria, his parents, his stepfather Larry Thompson, and a sister, Monika Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
